We have been attending a 3 part series on food, nutrition, etc.  Laney got an "I tried it" sticker when she tried a sweet bell grilled wrap we all  learned to make at the end of the class.  We both learned a lot about the new choose my plate nutrition guide and we are excited for the next 2 parts of the series.  For a part of the class the teachers took the kids into another room while the mom's stayed in class to learn more on fruits and veggies.  Laney did great away from mom (better than I did - LOL) so we went to the store and she picked Clifford as her prize.  Crack me up!  Fun things we do I must say fun fun fun.

There was a nature walk with tons of facts on animals, plants and more.  I kept having to remind Laney it was called a nature WALK.  Momma up was her repeat phrase that morning.  It was more of a nature CARRY.





a museum full of sites followed



recently a bear (400 lbs) tore through a wall of the museum where they have an entrance pipe for bees to get into an indoor type honey hive.  I told Laney just like Pooh Bear loves honey - LOL ;)

This was a fun indoor cave that she enjoyed.  It had tons of rock facts inside.

Father's Day

It was a great father's day!  Poppy got many gifts including the yearly picture of his precious daughter in his favorite football jersey.  He is excited to watch her grow into it.  We hung it up next to last years and ohhhh she is growing like a weed.  Poppy wore his new homemade with love shirt. Laney got to hang with her cousins and I got to visit with one of my very special dads (love you tons Lar).  I got to call another special dad on the phone that morning and yet another that night.  Wow we have tons of dad love around here. Laney swam and had a blast (my little brave one).  She ended her day in the sandbox - happy happy happy.  Poppy enjoyed grilling, bug zapping, golfing, yuengling, ladder ball, music, hugs and kisses.  Poppy rocks!

Square Hat

June has ended and it is hard to believe time can fly by so quickly.  We did so many fun things in June and I still have a ton of pictures to post but 1 of the many highlights was seeing her cousin graduate from college and getting to put on his "Square Hat" as she calls it ;)

Laney loves shoes and will go to her closet 5 times a day to change her shoes.  She now proudly wears a "thing in the middle" so cute.  Laney also has been having so much fun with one of her dogs Tiki.  Oh the patience of this dog and the things Laney does - LOL.

Just some summer backyard fun.  Last year Laney was afraid of this octopus sprinkler.  This year she is having a blast with it. Laney loves to wear goggles.  She wears them even when we are doing things that have nothing to do with water - LOL! Loads of summer backyard fun!  Sit and spin - huh remember those ;)

End of Year Picnic

A few shots from Laney's end of the year playground picnic.  Our weekly mommy and me playgroups end for the summer but the awesome news is we have weekly field trips and events with them for July and who knows what August will bring.  YEAH!

Birthday fun #3

Yup we made the frog cupcakes a 3rd and final time. Laney loved all her presents but of course it was busy busy so I only got a few shots.

At all 3 of her parties we did tattoo fun & played fun games like: pin the tongue on the frog & musical frog. We also did crafts like decorate your own bag (and we filled the w/ all sorts of goodies b/4 the kids left) and decorate your frog and give it a red blow out tongue. The Princess and the Frog party theme was fun. I wonder what her next birthday dreams will be (Guitar/music theme for her 1st birthday home. Princess and the Frog theme for her 2nd and of course her 1st birthday was in China. So until next year all done with this BIRTHDAY FUN!
