Shoreline Getaway

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We did enjoy our beach getaway. Lots of great family and new friends too. Even my dogs Tiki & Maui came on our trip. Poppy caught lots of fish (go Poppy). Mama & I had great summer fun. Enjoy the pictures. Oh and yes I can pull myself up to stand now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

15 months old

Yup today I turned 15 months old. Still loving my ducky baths!

We are back

After 5 days and 5 nights away from home, we are back! It was a nice family getaway to the Beach. Laney did do amazing. We have pictures to post and new things to share but for now we are buried in laundry and just enjoying the simple pleasures. LIKE: Laney slept 14 hours last night (on vacation she did 10 or less). Nap time today was 3 hours (on vacation she did 15 minutes or less). Mark and I missed our bed so so much and Laney gleamed with joy at the sight of her nursery and playroom. Maui & Tiki well they slept just about all day long today (the beach wore them out). Sun and fun makes us all tired but we are so thankful for it all (thanks to our family for the nice getaway) pictures soon. I swear the car has more sand than the beach did????? (Off to vacuum it out)

2 Months

2 month since you were first handed to us! WOW how time flies when you are having fun. Everyday is amazing with you and we are so so so thankful for the miracle of 2 months ago. HAPPY FAMILY/GOTCHA DAY!

Pony Tail?

Mama decided to try a few new hair do's today. Mama has been wanting to do a pony tail on top of my head for a long time. So happy Mama made two attempts today.

1 without a bow & 1 with a bow Pony Tail (it is a tiny pony you may have to zoom in and enlarge the photo) YUP my hair is growing (oh and yup still have the curls too - see the sides curling a bit).

Pool Playdate

Laney was invited for a pool play date, she had a blast! We got to spend time with family and had lots of summer fun!

What's new

Wanted to share some things that are new with little Miss Laney:
* She uses sign language to say MORE
* blows kisses
* when you say "arms up" her arms go up and she flashes a big smile
* when you say mouth she opens her mouth wide.
* when you say nose she points to her nose or your nose
* when you say dog she points to her dogs (who are usually close by to see if she drops any food)
* when you say "no more monkey's jumping on the bed" she points her finger and sways it like to say no, no, no in the song
* after a drink of water she does a refreshing AHHHHHHHHHHH sound and giggles
* kisses her monkey snugly every morning with a huge smile
* now eats some cold food (wow that took awhile) she loves cheese, Stonyfield organic Baby Yo yogurts (loves pear, peach & apple flavors) & Simply Well Kozy Shack pudding (pear or lemon ginger flavors are big hits).
* baked snappea crisps

some 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 variety of the birthday pups who turn 4 today. Happy birthday to Maui & Tiki. Laney might keep us busy girls but we love you!!

Friday Family Fun Night

Yan Ge (Laney's middle name) means beautiful song. It makes total sense our little girl LOVES music. Tonight we went down to the park for the summer concert series. What an amazing Friday Family Fun Night!

Out COLD

Laney was talking and playing in her crib at nap time (I heard all of this in the monitor) but truly she was so tuckered out that she never even made it back into the lying down position at afternoon nap time today. We found her in a sitting up pose sleeping. I guess she is still tuckered out from the beach yesterday. LOL

Wow, the beach really makes me sleepy.

Well the good news is today was Laney's first day at the beach. The bad news is that it was to say goodbye to a fellow adoptive Mama in waiting who has become a dear friend to us. Her and her entire family really ROCK! We will miss them terribly as they move away. A big thank you to Eileen & her family for having us to the beach today. Except for the goodbye part it was a wonderful time with tons of great friends. Love to you Kristin, I will miss you sooo soooo much!
