Tuesday Talking

Favorite fruit - Grapes
Favorite veggies - Green Beans or Asparagus
Laney is now up to 6,7 & 8 steps of walking but still has not taken off completely yet.
For sometime now Laney has been speaking single words (sit, more, drink, shoes, moo, etc.) and two of the same words (ma ma, da da, ba ba, quack quack, etc.) but now she has put two different words together.............. "Tiki come" (as she taps on the ground for our dog Tiki) and "Thank you" (love the manners)!
Her sign language is wonderful and frequent to ask for what she wants and to use her manners (eat, drink, more, please, etc.)
Laney is truly amazing and we could go on and on but Tuesday talkings is done for now, thanks for checking in.

17 months

Today our baby girl grows up a little more as she turns 17 months old! uhhhh she is so close to one and a half years old ohhhhh I am gonna cry! Love, Mama

Our baby girl was placed in our arms 4 months ago today! WOW, no words can describe!

Farm Fun (Apple picking too)

Today we got to have a Farm Family Fun Day! Today is the first day of the Fall season! We saw farm animals, went on a farm playscape and picked apples too! Great Family Fall Fun!

B/4 Bed Playroom Fun

OK so Poppy did build the most amazing playroom and if you look at these series of pictures you will see Laney has so much fun in her amazing room!

1,2,3,4 ...steps that is

For weeks now I have been walking with my grocery cart and other toys. Walking along walls and things of such but the big news is now 1,2,3,4 ...........steps that is I am taking holding on to nothing! Just walking between my Mama & Poppy. The trouble is I have no fear and I end up diving into Mama and/or Poppy at the end of those steps. Soon my Mama will be posting that I am off and running :)
p.s. Hard to capture this in pictures but we will keep trying :)
p.s.s. This is 1 of the most common questions we get.......Is she walking yet?

Swim, Swim, Swim

Not sure who had more fun....................Laney or Poppy but our first swim lesson went good. At first Laney was not thrilled, than she kept throwing her head back going under water cracking up laughing, she loved it. Than it was ok I'm done lets go home. A very mixed bag of emotions with her first swim class. Next class it is mama and poppy in the pool so these pictures are it. I did get some great video of her in the pool but I have never learned how to do a video to the blog and I guess I am kinda not into researching it. Less computer time means more time with my girl so no video. Thanks for checking in and reading/looking at..........Swim, swim, swim

Wordless Wednesday

Frozen Banana

Mama & Poppy try many things to get me to taste new fruits (Mama is still shocked I am not a fan of watermelon yet). So recently I got to try a Frozen Banana! I really liked it. 2 things that I wonder about:

1. What was all that brown stuff mama ate off the banana before she gave it me??

2. Why did I have to get right into the bath tub after my frozen banana snack??

Mama's answers:

1a. Snagged.... It was a chocolate dipped banana (Laney has not had chocolate yet).

2a. Thrilled she ate a banana (prior to this she would only eat baby food jarred bananas, no fresh banana's) but WOW what a mess frozen bananas make! Bath time had to happen ASAP!

Labor Day, 1st Fair

Today DADA did not have to go to work and he said no labor on labor day so he took MAMA and I to my first fair! I yelled DOG to every farm animal I saw (silly). DADA won me 2 new monkeys (which I could not stop kissing) to add to my playroom and MAMA & DADA both took turns taking me on the carousel.
Oh and yes I now like (scratch that.......I now LOVE ice cream).Labor day was a lot of fun!

Groceries, Boots and Purse

The grocery cart through the house is a big hit. We filled the cart with cans of tomatoes to weigh it down since Laney is still getting used to walking with it(thanks for that idea Michele). She sits her little baby in the cart and says Naney (her way of saying Laney) then she sticks out her arm for you to slide her purse on her arm and off she goes (Joan she loves that purse). Oh throw on her new pair of pink boots and she is a happy girl!

2 pigtails/ponytails?

It finally happened, Mama got 2 pigtails (or do they call them ponytails) in my hair! Big day! YAHOO!
