Wow the month of April was busy and I blogged much less so I am way behind.  Let's see if I can do a few busy April posts (I will update everyday for the next week).  We have been enjoying a parachute pals class we signed up for (it's free and Momma is loving that part).  One week poppy even got to join us.  It is a great class and tons of fun.  So much so that Laney now has her very own parachute at home (thanks Auntie D).  Laney loves it!  As do Maui & Tiki.

goodbye 2, hello 3

I truly cannot believe it.  We are saying goodbye to the 2's and hello to the 3's.  I remember people always saying kids can have the terrible 2's so I expected the worst but thankfully I got the opposite.  I cannot say I saw the terrible 2's and I don't want them to end :(  but................... since our little girl must grow up here we go onto the magical 3's.  Tomorrow we will celebrate her big day 4-28-11
THREE YEARS OLD!

It will be a special day for the angel who has blessed our lives. Being a mother rocks my world so I will of course take some time to think about how her birthday must feel for her birth mother. My hope is that all the way around the world she feels in her heart that this little girl could not be more loved, could not be happier and it is impossible for us to thank her for changing our lives!
Adoption is a miracle of LOVE!

Christening pictures (finally)

It took awhile to post these pictures but it truly was a magical day!  April 3^rd 2009 was the day our lives changed.  The day we heard the words we longed to hear - ”It’s a girl”.  It was the day we got our phone call to say “You have a daughter”.  It was the day we saw our 1^st picture of her precious face.  So on April 3^rd 2011 we added another special meaning to that date as Laney was baptized at the same church, by the same priest who married hubby and I.  It was a great day.  Enjoy the pictures and thanks for asking to see them!

A few tidbits I want to remember:  We had 5 dresses to try on her weeks earlier and ohhh the tears flowed and she was very unhappy trying on every single one (huge crocodile tears). She eventually told me she did not want an itchy dress up princess dress (mind you none of these itched but she had it in her head they did).  So we got through it returned 4 and kept the 1 we loved.  That morning the tears flowed putting it on but we got over it quickly and as you see she was fine, happy and beautiful in it.  Well the following week when we said OK let's get ready for church she said "yeah let's wear mine pretty white dress please".  Oh and recently she said "Momma please don't sell mine pretty white dress"! Now each Sunday she asks to wear her pretty white dress. When people ask her about her special day she says "oh yes mine pretty white dress baptized day".  After the priest talked a bit he asked her if she had any questions she said " hmm I don't know".  When he lite the baptismal candle she said Happy Birthday and asked to blow it out. As he talked a bit longer she laid down on the steps of the alter and did a little snore sound effect (mind you we were at an hour mass before the ceremony itself) but we all had a good laugh.  When he went to pour the water on her she said "no get water on mine pretty white dress please Father Larry".  Her and father Larry are buddies she runs to him each Sunday and hugs him around the legs so they had great interaction on her special day.  It was a special small gathering with family and a day we will always remember.

gifts of faith

Thought I would post this in case anyone was looking for great gifts of faith to get a child.  I honestly never knew there were such great adorable awesome gifts like this out there.  Laney is enjoying all of them and hopefully a child in your life will too.

couponing - grrrr

Ok yes the ER visit and all that came after that is exhaustiung me but I am also trying to learn how to coupon and wooooooooooo I am tried.  Have you seen the show on TLC called extreme couponing ok I am not getting even close to the magic they do so is there a show called couponing 101 or couponing for dummies. Ohhhh I so want to save $ - HELP!  Anyone out there coupon? Do you have any tips, secrets, help, etc?

1st ER visit

Thankfully it was not for Laney (it was for daddy) but she was trooper by his side (for 4 hours in the ER) Sorry we have been away from the blog for a bit but wooooo it is crazy around here. We do have a ton of great pictures to post so hopefully soon we will find some time to do so. (he blew out his back)

 When our mommy and me playschool invited us on a field trip that included a school bus I was 1 of the mom's who said oh we will drive our car and follow the school bus and just meet you guys there.  Ya know I just am not sure I understand how school buses don't have seat belts?  Not to mention she is not even 3!!  BUT.... Than they told us this was a unique school bus with car seat equipped seats.  I talked to hubby and we told Laney and oh my goodness she was so excited.  It did not even seem to matter to her where the field trip was to it was just pure excitement she was going to get to go on a school bus!  Some news for her I plan on being a drop off/pick up kinda mom instead of the whole bus thing but hey that is years away and things are subject to change right? Anyways what a great field trip and such a wonderful day of memories with her 1st school bus ride - OMG!

This CD is a big hit in the car right now (great library find) Awesome theme to this CD!!

Superhero

I came home (from a rare quick solo run to the store) to find Poppy and Laney playing Superhero (he puts a blanket around her shoulders and she says it is her cape).  She loves to say "save the day"

Penguin Craft

 

Yes we got snow in April (grrrr) so at mommy and me playschool we did a Penguin Craft last week (I love love love this school)!
