Just some summer backyard fun.  Last year Laney was afraid of this octopus sprinkler.  This year she is having a blast with it. Laney loves to wear goggles.  She wears them even when we are doing things that have nothing to do with water - LOL! Loads of summer backyard fun!  Sit and spin - huh remember those ;)

End of Year Picnic

A few shots from Laney's end of the year playground picnic.  Our weekly mommy and me playgroups end for the summer but the awesome news is we have weekly field trips and events with them for July and who knows what August will bring.  YEAH!

Birthday fun #3

Yup we made the frog cupcakes a 3rd and final time. Laney loved all her presents but of course it was busy busy so I only got a few shots.

At all 3 of her parties we did tattoo fun & played fun games like: pin the tongue on the frog & musical frog. We also did crafts like decorate your own bag (and we filled the w/ all sorts of goodies b/4 the kids left) and decorate your frog and give it a red blow out tongue. The Princess and the Frog party theme was fun. I wonder what her next birthday dreams will be (Guitar/music theme for her 1st birthday home. Princess and the Frog theme for her 2nd and of course her 1st birthday was in China. So until next year all done with this BIRTHDAY FUN!

1st Canoe Ride

A few weeks ago we decided to try Laney on her 1st Canoe ride. We made it quick just as a test run but she was really amazing! It was cool awesome fun.  We will defiantly do more of this and maybe add more time and some fishing also.  Laney said a lot of funny things on her 1st canoe adventure.  It started with "ARR Matee I am Pirate". Then she saw a log sticking out of the water and said "That where Ariel sit there Momma".  Throughout our adventure when we would say Laney she would say "no thank you I not Laney my name Ariel I am mermaid."  Many times she would look around and say "momma where mermaids in the water?"  We passed another canoe along the way and Laney said to them "you go see mermaids too?"

Cute Car Conversation

Yes little miss talks non stop and in the car is no exception but this cute car conversation I wanted to remember so here goes (in her words at age 3):
Laney says: "Momma you know some all body adopt dogs"
Momma says: "Yes Laney you are right some people adopt dogs just like Momma & Poppy adopted Maui & Tiki"
Laney says: "Momma you know some all body adopt kids"
Momma says: "Yes Laney you are right some people do adopt kids just like Momma & Poppy adopted you, Our Daughter"
Laney says: "Yeah"
about 5 minutes pass
Laney says: "Momma I be a Momma when I bigger"
Momma says: "Oh Laney that is wonderful news yes yes yes be a Momma it is awesome"
Momma says "How many kids would you like to be a Momma to Laney"
Laney says: "holding up her hand she says 5 kids Momma, Yeah 5 kids for Laney Momma"
Momma says: "would you like boys or girls"
Laney says: without hesitation "boys AND girls they be friends and all body go to China together boys AND girls"
OH MY at age 3 she has plans - LOL.  Well I hope she re-reads this when she is 40 and giggles.

Memorial Day Pool Fun

Memorial day was full of pool fun and little miss Laney is a brave brave soul (oh no).

Memorial Day Moves Me

Yes it is true every year Memorial Day moves me.  I explained to Laney a little bit about why memorial day moves me.  So when we were driving by on our way to a pool party we saw a great stop we just had to make.  My big kid (Poppy) was so excited it cracked me up.  Laney was saying hello and waving to everyone she walked by.  Well a young man in uniform was walking by and she said "Hello Hero"!  Yup Memorial Day moves me and she obviously listened to me as I talked about men and women in uniform and how they are heroes.  WOW!
