So we had heard a lot about this and even checked into it awhile back. Than we found we ran into a few SOLD OUT issues. Even though we gave in late we finally did adopt this new family tradition and I must say she has been soooooooooooo excited about it. Laney named him Dumpling (of course when she says his name it sounds like "Dunkling" SO CUTE. If you have not heard about this here is a glimpse:

My kids love their elf on the shelf!! The movie is ADORABLE too! One of Meilin's favorites!! Enjoy your new tradition.
Kean's preschool teacher carries on this tradition every year and lets the kids name the elf. Kean's class came up with "Sippy Popcorn." Hilarious!
