Chinese New Year & Friends

How do you get through a wait like this? The answer is FRIENDS, TRUE FRIENDS. These pictures include some who have been there done that, those who are waiting right along with us, those who will cry with us, those who will laugh with us and those who will understand the many emotions of waiting to hold our child in our arms but we can't because she is halfway around the world. It is what we sometimes call "The Adoptive Mamas". These ladies (the hubbies and children too) are a true blessing in our life.
We were invited to join this amazing group at a Chinese New Year dinner/celebration with a dragon dance. The restaurant was filled with adoptive families. Our group had 19. Some who have made the trip to China already and have their precious miracles home and some of us who still wait. The friends we have made along this journey are priceless.

The drums of the dragon dance were very load so I got to enjoy a precious little girl or two on my lap covering their ears (and sometimes faces from the dragons (PURE HEAVEN FOR ME).

We look forward to next year and adding our little one to this amazing celebration with wonderful friends.
