Loads of Natalee fun in words

Laney and Natalee finally saw each other again!  The last time they saw each other was in April 2009 while our 2 families finalized the adoption of our precious daughters.  Since then we we have kept in touch through blogs, emails and travel group.  Natalee's Mommy has been a great e-mail buddy with advice and stories of her daily Natalee fun.  Finally to see her in person was wonderful.  What a great lady.  Thanks MB for the chats, the fun and all the goodies.  Natalee's Daddy is a great guy and the dads had loads to talk about and really kicked butt in doing tons of "daddy things" for their girls. - Thanks J for a ton of stuff (you too Poppy). Hey guys sorry about the 4 to 3 final.  Oh but how can the score matter when you had a boatload of fun.  You 2 really hit it off didn't ya - AWESOME.
Laney getting to spend a weekend with Natalee at times took my breath away (well yes they tired us Mommy's out but honestly just seeing those 2 gorgeous sweet girls we both longed for, the girls we were meant to mother touched my heart).  Watching them side by side was really awesome.  They both are not big noise fans at all and you will notice in some photos they both have their ears covered.  They both love to sing and twinkle twinkle sounded great as they sang together.  Natalee taught Laney a few new things like "no laughing" and "form a line" and how to do a split (so stinkin cute).  MB and I got the girls matching nightgowns and matching shirts.  Did they sit still long enough to get many photos with them on .......................NO.  I had a hope for some cute posed shots of the girls but ya know what they had fun and that is what counts.  We did get tons of pictures and we really had a great time. We will share our photos and update soon. Just some of our memories: Our Friday afternoon: Oh Natalee just how hard did you hit your mouth?  J nice sprint for the woo bee! Natalee can you teach Laney how to fall asleep at the lunch table? Our Friday night: Line out the door means it must be good, right?  Attempt # 2 - so we can't put two tables together?  So you have no menus?  Duck, chicken or pork huh?  Uhhhhhh back to # 1 and such a great choice - WOW!  We ate, we drank, we laughed, we chatted, we reminisced, we shared, we took pictures and we ate some more (wow it was good) really a great time! Our Saturday full of walking, talking, sites and fun. Baseball, butterflies, dinosaurs, trains, toys, museums, singing, dancing, tea parties, hair styling, wall decorating, coloring, splits, laughing, horses, frogs, pretend, imagination and just great fun and getting to know each other. We got to sing Natalee an early happy birthday and give her some special things we picked out just for her.   The girls shared toys and snacks very nicely.  What was hard about it our get away in my opinion? Packing for it - oh I stink at it and of course we brought way to much!  Public toilets (in the city - oh wow). Eating schedule - timing and types of food were off for sure. Snacks and drinks were easy with Laney's milk allergy since we packed all that but main courses were more of a challenge.  Oh and sleep schedule was off big time. Laney woke up earlier and went to bed later and took less rest time during the day.  Through the night she would say "momma" at least 5 times and just need to hear my voice to know I was there.  First thing in the morning she would say "Matalee" She could not get the N in Natalee so she called her Matalee. Laney LOVED Natalee and talked about her whenever we were not with her. This will be the last trip for her to sleep in a pack n play portable crib she is just getting to tall for it.  Can I just add on the sleep note - oh I could never live in the city!  How do mommas sleep with all that noise outside your window? Did I mention that Natalee is 6 months older than Laney and is about 3 pounds lighter.  It was fun holding Natalee.  It was great to spend time with her!  She is sweet, friendly and kind not to mention as cute as  button!  She speaks so clearly and loves to interact with you. Her imagination and creativity amaze me.  I really love chatting with her.  Natalee shares so nicely and can take a cat nap anywhere - LOVE IT! Why do they have to live so far away? Loads of Natalee fun in photos coming soon - stay tuned.
